Tail Club
From The Yuriban Encyclopedia
The Tail Club is a combination diner and hangout spot located on Tiger Lily Road and run by Kitsune Inari. The diner section features classic '50s style food such as burgers and fries. The establishment's gimmick is that it is designed in particular to serve the anthropomorphic and quasi-anthropomorphic population of Yuriba, as well as their supporters. A box of fake tails is always present by the front door so that those not naturally endowed can fit in.
The staff currently consists of Kitsune as owner and co-manager with her wife Lizz. Miki, the singing Tanuki, is lead chef. Kisune's sister, Hikaru Inari, her good friend Athame, and a new hire named Curia all act as waitresses on occasion.
Foundation
The Tail Club was originaly founded by Kitsune Inari after observing several spring-blessed girls recieving less that favorable treatment by the island's largely human population. It occured to her that humans often fail to understand the challenges faced by "Tail-Girls" (as she tends to refer to those gifted naturally or by magic with a tail or other anthropomorphic attributes) when trying to integrate into a human dominated society. She decided to create a place where anthromorphs and other "Tail-Girls" could gather and be treated as equals, regardless of things like accents, poor grammar (often due to differences in brain structure) and seemingly odd social customs native to their particular race or species.
With this goal in mind, she began to build a club where such persons as those (and their understanding human friends) could gather together and socialize. Not wishing to make anyone feel uncomfortable, she provided a box of fake tails at the door which anyone is free to use so that they don't feel out of place.

| OOC: Payment |
| Yes, you really do have to pay for your food at the Tail Club, unlike many other Yuriban establishments. However, the prices have been kept low enough for anyone to pay for a meal and have Lilies remaining even if all you have is what you get for logging in. Aditionally, the coding is rather complex and designed to add to your enjoyment, so a charge of a few lilies isn't bad for what you get ^_^ |
Meeting Room:
The Meeting Room is seldom used, but serves as a place for members of the Tail Club staff to meet and discuss business, and can also be reserved on request for special events by patrons. It features a relaxed atmosphere with comfortable seating and plenty of room to lounge around and talk at leisure.
Petting Pit: The Petting Pit serves as a place to engage in the traditional social bonding practice of many Tail-Girls, petting. While nudity is permitted, heavy petting should be confined to actual Petting, and not sexual activity. For those who become overexcited, the management suggest one of the many fine hotels or inns available on the island. Absolutely, Positively NO yiffing is allowed in the petting pit.
Notable Personalities
In addition to the owner/operator Kitu, the Tail Club is frequented by many of the island's Tail-Girls some of whom can be found there at any time of day or night.
Hikaru Inari, Kitu's elder sister is a former miko (now retired) of Fushimi Inari, the primary Inari shrine in Japan. She came to the island for Kitu's wedding and has remained since, having come to love the friendly populace. Frequent visitors to the club will notice that she remembers them and (for those who are nice to her) becomes more friendly once she gets to know you. Possessing a wry wit (especially when her sister is around to tease) she's always good for a laugh.
Miki "the Singing Tanuki" is a kind and matronly figure who serves as the chef, entertaining the patrons with songs whilst cooking, and occasionally with her antics (try ordering a hot fudge sunday). Though she doesn't speak often, she has been known to occasionally spout a word or two of wisdom, and undoubtedly makes the best Yuridog on the island.
Curia (the roller-skating waitress) is a new hire who's become popular with patrons of the Club for her friendly personality and eagerness to please. She's a part timer, so be sure and try to catch her while she's on duty.
