Kayla Anderson is a bartender at Leona's Bar and Girl. Well, she is, in the sense that she still has her original position there, despite her lack of time that she spends actually bartending. Her personality is calm, almost serene, which stands in fierce opposition to the fiery-tempered brat who originally came ashore in Yuriba.
Born on 27 November 1982, in a small town in Tennessee, her childhood was quiet, with Kayla eventually graduating high school in the top 10 in her class, and later went on to study Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University. However, she left Tennessee when her family disowned her for her sexuality, and eventually made her way to Yuriba, after spending several months traveling the world, including a stop in a Chinese Amazon village, where she trained in the art of teamaking, Amazon style.
She prefers to keep herself out of conflict, as she has become a much more peaceful person over the years she's been in Yuriba, and she will do almost anything to retain peace. Just because she is a peaceful person does not mean that she will tolerate things she doesn't approve of for very long, though.
Since March or so, she's been seen in public a little more, although she's still hiding for the most part, taking care of her twin daughters, Leona and Selena (who were named for two of her best friends on the island) with Athame and Angela.

- Athame - Her cute, cuddly, kitten-like wife that she absolutely adores.
- HiSenshi - Somewhere between friend and girlfriend. This one has yet to be fully explained.
- Angela - Her just as cute and cuddly angelic wife that she can't imagine life without.
- Ilunara - Her ex-wife, who left her for good, in order to fight and defend her homeland.
- Leona McAllistre - The owner of Leona's Bar and Girl, and one of her best friends, as well as one of the select few that she has fallen in love with, along with Leona's wife Flame
- Cobalt - One of Kayla's oldest friends in Yuriba.
- Abryn - A close friend and advisor, who she loves dearly and will do just about anything for.
- Isilme - A newfound old friend who she just regained contact with recently.
