This page is intended, in many ways as a listing of metaplot, RP hooks, and revelations of recent in game changes to the MUSH. Another good place to list events is on the bulletin board in Village Center.

August 2009

• The Summer Matsuri fell on the last week of the month, and ended in a weekend bash from the 28th to the 30th of the month. Details of the event can be found here regarding specific event times and dates. Included amongst the events were a dance, some scavenger hunts, and a few beach parties with several very nice games.

• A new face named Kesla took first place at the dance costume contest, with runners-up being Abryn and Rylia. Pamela managed to get first place with the scavenger hunts!

• In addition, Abryn sends thanks to all that attended, making special memories for everyone, but especially to the ladies of Caislean Dubhcoille for designing, preparing and hosting the dance, and to Rylia for being a lifesaver and -great- entertainment with the Werewolf game!

April 2009

• A large hurricane (and accompanying meteor shower) struck the island, rendering many, if not most, public services unavailable for many days. Cleanup afforts continue for weeks after.

March 2009

• The Anniversary Festival is set to take place March 20th through the 22nd!
• On Friday March 20th the Festival Dance will have a 'Steampunk' theme and will be starting at 7PM!
• The Silent Auction is set to begin March 13th at 8PM in the Rental Hall of the Crimson Rose and Sword. The auction ends on March 21st at 10PM with the winners to be announced March 22nd @ 8PM. For the first time open auctions are being accepted. Prospective sellers should check the Rental Hall of the CR&S for details.

February 2009

• A Valentine's Day dance was hosted by Hi-Chan at the Yuriba Gym on the 14th.

January 2009

• Holiday Tickets can be redeemed starting the first of this month!
• On the 30th, Kaleaithne announced the release of a second series of Yuriba Trading Cards! This set works with the original binder, and is themed for Valentine's Day. Further info can be found at the Fire Station, just north of the The Dragon’s Brew, where the vending machine for the cards is located!

December 2008

• The Holiday Wheel of greatness went on most of the month, and in an early yuletide mood, Tanaku finally started to release the prizes to the winners of the Halloween costume contest!

• Anna won the preparty door prize.
• Coral won the cutest costume with her Sackgirl (LittleBigPlanet) outfit.
• Ain won the most traditional/wordly category with her Witch costume.
• Abryn took the most realistic one with her Ritsuko Akagi outfit.
• Emerald won the best overall costume with her Wild West Bandit!

October 2008

• On the 31st, Yuriba will have its yearly Halloween festival, once more run by Tanaku. Please look here for the event details and the timetable. There will be a categorised costume party, story telling and trick-or-treating as in prior years along with some other very good things!

September 2008

• To start off the month Apex Inn Bed and Breakfast opened its doors, with the newly relocated Four Seasons Cookhouse within its walls.

August 2008

• Over the weekend of the 22nd to the 24th Yuriba held the 2008 summer Matsuri. Events included a silent auction hosted by Miyako Tanaka at the Crimson Rose and Sword once again.

July 2008

• On the 9th the Cacao Heaven re-opened its doors once again, having re-hauled its look and equipment due to damages incurred when Inishie-san erupted.
• Ethereal Apparel, a clothing store owned by breisleach opened on the 22nd. It will house many new styles and pieces, but her matsuri booth will still be the only place to purchase her special yukata.

March 2008

• The weekend of the 28th through the 30th was Yuriba's Anniversary Festival. It started off with an Arabian Nights themed dance. Other events consisted of a week long silent auction hosted by the Crimson Rose and Sword as well as a cooking contest. The winning dishes of the contest were Juliet and Nisa, winners of the savory and dessert categories respectively. Both dishes were made with local ingredients and will now be available in the Four Seasons Cookhouse. The runner-ups were Abryn and Kayla.

• On the 15th the Ocean Lily opened with an expanded menu, having changed ownership once again.

January 2008

• The Pixie's Pride Inn finished its renovations and re-opened its doors on the 18th.

December 2007

• The annual Winter Solstice was held on the 21st.

November 2007

• On the 17th was the First Snow Ceremony, followed by a celebration of food.

October 2007

• On the 31st, Yuriba had its yearly Halloween festival, once more run by Tanaku. Please look here for the event details and the timetable.

August 2007

• On the 18th, the Tianshiniichuan was rediscovered.
• Over the weekend of the 10th to the 12th the 2007 summer Matsuri was held. Scheduled events included a kendo tournament and a dance.

March 2007

• On the 7th, Inishie-san erupted. The damaged to the town was minor and largely cosmetic.

February 2007

• Heavy earthquakes occurred as a precursor to an expected eruption of Inishie-san. Quake safety information was distributed throughout town.
• A Valentine's Day dance was hosted by HiSenshi at the Yuriba Gym on the 14th.

January 2007

• As of the 21st, the paths to the Baiyounyanniichuan and Hunyanniichuan were opened.
