A group of individuals serve as Yuriba's Town Council, the main form of local authority. They serve in every capacity possible, including but not limited to: helping construction of new buildings in Yuriba, mitigate issues between individuals, help facilitate the arrival of guests to the island, as well as enforce general conduct and order on the island. But, most importantly, they are there just as the rest of the residents, a friendly, cheerful face willing to talk and interact with others.
